Dance Resource Base ran a very successful Dance Fusion Summer School from Monday 23 July to Friday 27 July 2012 at Ashfield Girls High School. The summer school was one of a number of dance classes and projects which were part of the Community Schools NI programme organised by Dance Resource Base in partnership with Artemis and the Belfast Education and Library Board and funded by The Big Lottery.
This was the third year in a row that the Summer School had taken place and it offered young people the opportunity to broaden their experience of dance, learning a different style of dance each day and gaining new insights into choreography, opening them up to the world of dance and the opportunity to train further.
14 young people attended and had an excellent time learning new moves and dance styles from their Dance Tutor Eileen McClory.
Parents and Friends attended on the Friday afternoon and were treated to a taste of all that had happened during the week. The participants put on an excellent performance which everyone enjoyed.
An exciting week for all concerned! See the highlights here on video!

"Working with Artemis as a partner in the Community Schools NI programme has been an important relationship for Dance Resource Base to develop. Artemis were very supportive of the classes and projects that we were organising, sending information to their contacts and listing the events on their website, responding efficiently to studio booking requests and providing a helpful point of contact at all times. The studio at Ashfield Girls High School provided the highest quality facility. The dance studio with its sprung floor and full length mirrors was perfect for dance and was spacious enough for big groups. The studio was also fully accessible and there was convenient parking. These aspects made the experience of running classes and courses very straight forward and accessible for everyone. Thank you"
